Artforum reported that senior curator Lauren Schell Dickens oversaw the acquisition of works by California-born live simulation artist Ian Cheng and German moving picture artist Hito Steyerl in the late 2010s. Thanks to our donors, the Museum is able to share its assortment and packages with native communities and throughout the world—helping the widest possible viewers understand and luxuriate navigate here in its treasures. This collection invites one hundred twenty artists to share what they see when they look at The Met. Between 1996 and 2001, the current administration of the museum undertook an enormous and controversial reform. Some architects allege that the reform triggered a profound distortion of Lina’s authentic project.
